Edward Guilloz served in the U.S. Marine Corps
Edward D. “Eddie” Guilloz, 82, of Pandora, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 10:02 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. He passed with loved ones at his bedside. Eddie was born to the late Edward W. Guilloz and Eleanor (Betyn) Guilloz on September 1, 1941.
He is survived by his sister, Diana Diamond, and two brothers, Richard (Mary Ellen) and Bill (Gail). He is also preceded in death by his twin brother, Bob.
Eddie served honorably in the United States Marine Corp, achieving the rank of Lance Corporal. After serving with the Marines, he graduated from Henry Ford Community College in 1971 with a certificate as a millwright. He worked in several industries, including Wolverine Tube Company, NCR Corporation, and retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber.
Eddie’s favorite activities included lending a helping hand, reading his Bible, touring Pandora with friends on his golf cart, and doing puzzles with his “adopted” grandchildren. Up until his passing, if there was snow on the ground, or leaves falling from the trees, you would find him shoveling or raking, and usually in a yard other than his own. His love for people and his community showed through his actions.
Two phrases that you would always hear from Eddie were “Thank you,” and “Lord Jesus bless you!” These phrases help portray his character, eternally grateful and always thinking of and praying for others. He trusted God and lived life as any believer in Christ and Marine should, always faithful! Eddie will be sorely missed by his community, family, and friends.
There will be no funeral arrangements for Eddie, as that was his request.
Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com/
