BPD Officer of the Year and Chief's Leadership awards announced
The Bluffton Police Department has announced the following awards to members of its department for 2023. Officer of the Year was presented to Tyler Noble and the Chief's Leadership Award was presented to Nathan Jordan. The proclamations made by Chief Ryan Burkholder are below:
OFFICER OF THE YEAR
This award is given to the officer that was nominated by their peers for their ability to teach skills and other tactics to the newer officers. This officer is very encouraging, is a pleasure to be around, is knowable, and is willing to help others succeed. He is always looking forward to the next challenge.

CHIEF’S LEADERSHIP AWARD
This award is given to an Officer who has shown strong leadership, encouraged mentoring, and had much dedication toward the department and community. Nathan has faithfully served the Bluffton Community for many years. He deserves this honor for his 27 years of service in law enforcement. Nathan was a jack of all
trades whether it was working with radios, electrical issues, converting over the 1 st K9 cruiser, and his willingness to cover additional shifts, parades, etc. Nathan has always been extremely reliable and is well deserving of this award for future officers
to look up to during their journey in law enforcement.
The 2023 Chief Leadership Award goes to:
