Et Cetera Shop, Inc. to host 50th anniversary style show
Et Cetera Shop, Inc. of Bluffton will hold will hold a style show, “Celebrating 50 Years of Fashion” at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 10, at the Bluffton Middle School cafetorium. The show is among the events planned for 2024 in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Et Cetera Shop, Inc.
Covering the decades of the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, 2010s, the show will also include a Ten Thousand Villages segment on “The Future is Fair Trade.” Clothing for the show has been acquired through donations over the past year. The 30 models for the show range in age from 10-93.
Tickets at $5/person went on sale Thursday, Feb. 1, and will be available at Et Cetera Shop, Bluffton Ten Thousand Villages and Book ReViews. The three Main St. stores are operated by Et Cetera Shop, Inc.
The style show will also include door prizes, including two $50 Et Cetera gift cards, silent auction of purses, Ten Thousand Villages display and items to purchase, and a Book ReViews display.

Initially opened as a thrift and gift store in 1974, Et Cetera was created by the late Lois Sommer Kreider, and was sponsored by local Mennonite churches. Today, Et Cetera Inc. is operated by a non-profit board and is sponsored by local churches, including First Mennonite, Bluffton; Bluffton Presbyterian Church; Grace Mennonite, Pandora; Salem Mennonite, Elida; Lima Mennonite, Lima; and St. John Bible, Pandora.
Et Cetera Shop, Inc. is part of a network of not-for-profit stores that support local and global relief, development, and peace projects of Mennonite Central Committee (MCC.)
Events throughout 2024 will include a summer garden tour, several customer appreciation days, a comforter blitz for MCC, a community worship service, and repurposing and kids’ crafts at Bluffton Family Recreation.
