March 19 Election includes BEVS levy renewal
Among the 20+ items on Allen County March 19 ballots is a Bluffton Exempted Village Schools levy renewal.
The sample ballot reads:
Bluffton Exempted Village School District, Allen and Hancock Counties)
A majority affirmative vote is necessary for passage
Shall a levy renewing an existing levy be imposed by the Bluffton Exempted Village School District for the purpose of avoiding an operating deficit in the sum of $714,000 and a levy of taxes to be made outside of the ten-mill limitation estimated by the county auditor to average 3.541mills for each $1of taxable value, which amounts to $124 for each $100,000 of the county auditor's appraised value of a period of 5 years, commencing in 2024, first due in calendar year 2025?
Election Day is March 19; polls are open 6:30 a.m. -7:30 p.m.
