G. Jo Stonehill 1931-2011
G. Jo Stonehill, 79 of Bluffton died at 4:20 p.m. Feb. 3, 2011 at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton. She was born Aug. 31, 1931 in Bluffton to Herbert and Vera (Pierce) Haller. On Aug. 17, 1952 she married Elmer D. Stonehill and he died June 27, 1991.
Mrs. Stonehill had been a homemaker. She was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ, Bluffton. She was also a member of the Amico Club in Bluffton. She was a graduate of Bluffton High School and Bowling Green State University.
Survivors include two sons Greg (Deborah) Stonehill of Germantown, Ohio and Jeff Stonehill of Moraine, Ohio; a daughter Teresa Washington of Hilliard, Ohio; five grandchildren Carolyn Stoermer, Jacob and Katherine Stonehill, Elizabeth and Ariel Washington; a brother Bill (Shirley) Haller of Lima, Ohio; and a sister Eileen Koehring of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 7, at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton. Chaplain William Herr and Pastor Carol Clements officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 p.m. and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's United Church of Christ, Bluffton.
