"Open Wall" invitation from ArtSpace/Lima
July 9-19, a first – and unique – exhibit for ArtSpace/Lima.
ArtSpace is excited to introduce its inaugural 'Open Wall' event, offering a unique opportunity for emerging artists to exhibit their work in a professional gallery setting.
Inspired by the audacious act of a freelance artist who smuggled his painting into the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, ArtSpace aims to provide a legitimate platform for artists seeking to share their creativity with the public.
The 'Open Wall' event will be held in the Ellen Nelson Gallery, featuring 20 designated 6’x6’ sections where artists can display their artwork. This initiative is designed to foster artistic expression and community engagement, much like the popular 'open mic' events for performers.
Details:
Intake Days - June 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29, or until all spaces are filled
Opening Reception - July 9, 6:30 to 8:00 pm
Location - ArtSpace, 65 Town Square, Lima
"We are thrilled to offer this platform to artists who have never had the chance to exhibit their work in a gallery," said [Director's Name], Director of ArtSpace. "The 'Open Wall' event is all about giving emerging artists a space to shine and be seen by the community, alongside established works of art."
The gallery space is ‘first come, first served’, ensuring an equal opportunity for all artists to participate. Any medium is welcomed. It is a fantastic chance for new artists to gain exposure and experience the thrill of seeing their work displayed in a professional setting.
