September 2024 public events granted street closures
At the August 26 meeting of the Bluffton Council, Mayor Rich Johnson presented the following public event permit requests, which were approved by council:
September 6 - Fallout / 5th quarter party
Jeremy Basinger is coordinating a "5th quarter" activity on College Ave. between Main and Jackson streets from 4:30 p.m.-midnight.
September 28 - Bluffton Arts & Crafts Show
Portions of Franklin and Jackson Streets near Bluffton High School will be closed from 5:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. for outdoor vendor space. The show will also take place inside the high school. The craft show is a program of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce.
Vine Street - Weekends through October 2024
Liz Gordon-Hancock was granted an extension on her request to close Vine St. between Main and the first alleyway on weekends. This portion of the road has been used for free use of games, convertible bench-tables and exercise classes during the months of June-August 2024.
