Dale Welch 1937-2011
Dale A. Welch, 73, of rural Rawson died at 2:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011 at Blanchard Valley Hospital. He was born on April 19, 1937, to the late John D. and Mamie (Prowant) Welch. He married E. Grace Williamson on June 30, 1958, and she survives.
He is also survived by children: Kavin "Jake" (Glendora), Mike (Patty),Todd (Deb) and Mark (Kim) all of Rawson, Teresa (Bryan) Singer of Payne; brothers: Forrest of Fort Mills, S.C., Joseph of Milbury, Gain of Columbus, Gary of Fort Mills, S.C., Arden of Findlay and Kevin of North Baltimore; a sister, Janet Myers of Findlay; grandchildren, Andrew, Jessica, Abigail, Elisha, Hanna, Josh, Cheyenne Welch, Courtney and Tiffany Singer and Stacy Brodman.
Also preceding him in death was a daughter, Dorine Welch; a granddaughter, Alana Welch; brothers: Marvin, Corel and Colin Ray Welch; sisters: Donna Gilbert and Karen Stephens; a brother-in-law, John Stephens.
Mr. Welch was a U.S. Army Veteran having served in Korea. He had worked at Kodak, Cooper Tire and Rubber and retired from Ashland Oil Refinery. He was also a lifetime farmer.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay, Findlay, with Pastor Will Miller officiating. Burial will be Harman Cemetery, Gilboa, where ful lmilitary rites will be conducted by the Hancock County Veteran's Memorial Squad.
Visitation is 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., Friday, at Coldren-Crates. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideons International and/or American Lung Association of Ohio, in his memory. Online condolences may be made via www.coldrencrates.com.
