Pirate volleyball takes down Knights

BLUFFTON __ The Bluffton Pirate volleyball team beat tough non-conference rival Van Buren in four sets Thursday night, October 10, to celebrate Senior Night in winning fashion.
The Pirates finished the regular season 19-3 overall after completing the 25-21, 25-10, 20-25, 25-16 victory. It was the 18th win in 20 matches for the Bluffton spikers.
VB dropped to 16-6 with the defeat.
Kendall Stackhouse hammered 17 kills to pace the Pirate hitting attack.
Lainey Grandey knocked down 10 kills. Karlie Lora contributed nine kills, 11 digs and two aces.
Setter Gracie Yarnell passed out 23 assists, mustered 13 digs and also came up with two blocks.
Libby Hocanson authored five blocks. Avery Talavinia mustered up 10 digs. Gracie Warren served two aces.
The Pirate reserves won the JV match 25-11, 25-9.
Seniors Ayla Grandey, Combs, Talavinia, Yarnell and Kally Cotter were recognized before the match.
