Letter: Thank you to voters for support of Bluffton Safety Services
The departments and members of the Bluffton Safety Services, the village administration and the council of the Village of Bluffton would like to extend our appreciation to each resident in the Village of Bluffton and to our neighbors in Hancock County who participated in the 2024 election.
You were faced with a decision on the ballot to approve or disapprove of an issue that will provide funding for the operating and capital expenses for the Bluffton EMS, Bluffton Fire and Bluffton Police Departments for the next twenty years. ▶︎
With a voter approval of near 73%, we would like to thank you for your previous support of and continued support of the Bluffton Safety Services. Our commitment to provide transparent and exceptional service is the top priority of each department.
This funding will provide needed capital to ensure that up-to-date and compliant equipment is available to our departments so that we may provide the citizens of the Village of Bluffton and adjacent areas that are serviced by Bluffton Emergency Services the best and most reliable service available. This will also fund the expenses incurred as the Bluffton EMS transitions from a volunteer to a full-time EMS model.
Thank you to each of you for trusting in our mission and providing us with the training, tools and equipment for years to come.
Sincerely,
Chief Jan Basinger, Bluffton EMS
Chief Ryan Burkholder, Bluffton Police Department
Chief Jon Kinn, Bluffton Fire Department
