Jerry W. Fett served in the U.S. Army
Jerry W. Fett, 80, passed away November 25, 2024 at his residence. Jerry was born November 8, 1944 in Bluffton to the late Carl and Geneva (Basinger) Fett. On June 12, 1971 he married Linda (Green) Fett who preceded him in death on December 14, 2009.
Jerry was a graduate of Beaverdam High School and was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict serving in the U.S. Army. He retired from Lima Ford Motor Company in 1989 and was a life-long farmer. Jerry was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Bluffton and the Columbus Grove VFW. He was an avid fan of the Cleveland Indians, the Cleveland Browns and the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Survivors include three sisters, Roxann (David) Baird of Findlay, Deanna Hackworth of Delphos, Elnora (Melvin) Moser of Fort Myers, Florida; seven nieces and nephews, Mark (Kelly) Hackworth of Delphos, Lisa Hackworth of Grove City, Greg (Barb) Fett of Lima, Cathy (Craig) Webb of Findlay, Becky (Frank) Ruiz of Findlay, Kevin Moser of Chicago, Ryan Moser of San Francisco and a brother-in-law, Tom (Deb) Green of Lima.
Jerry was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Fett.
Jerry's services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 29, 2024 at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Bluffton with Ron Geiser officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Beaverdam following the service. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel United Church of Christ or to the charity of your choice.
