Trinity Evangelical Lutheran hosts Advent and Christmas programs
Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 N. Main St., Jenera, will hold special Advent services on the first three Wednesdays in December, each beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The service on December 4 is titled "Trees of Christmas - Tree of Rebellion." The readings are Galatians 3:7-13 and Matthew 3:4-10 and the text for the sermon is Genesis 3:1-15, the account of the tree in the middle of the Garden of Eden. Hymns are "The Advent of our King" and "The Tree of Life " The Choir will sing "Call to Advent." Beginning at 5:30 p.m., 7th and 8th grade students and their parents will be serving a free spaghetti supper.
Sunday worship services are at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. with Bible Classes and Sunday School beginning at 9:20 a.m. Everyone is welcome and the church is handicapped accessible. More information is at www.tlcjenera.org or by calling 419-326-4685.
Christmas for Kids is scheduled for Saturday December 14 from 12:30-3:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran School, 105 Allen Street, Jenera. The program is for children ages 3 years through 5th grade.
