Popcorn Falls is spring play at Bluffton University, April 3-6
Cast and production team announced
Bluffton University will present its spring play, "Popcorn Falls," by James Hindman on April 3-6.
Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. April 3-5 and 2:30 p.m. on April 6 in Ramseyer Auditorium, College Hall. All seats are reserved, and tickets are available at www.bluffton.edu/tickets. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, Bluffton University faculty and staff and non-Bluffton University students, and free for Bluffton University students.
A Hilarious Farce of Desperation and Hope
Bluffton University Theatre has announced the cast list for the spring play “Popcorn Falls” by James Hindman.
The sleepy town of Popcorn Falls is forced into bankruptcy when a neighboring town threatens to turn them into a sewage treatment plant. Their only hope – open a theater! A handful of actors play nearly 20 roles in this wacky world of farce, love and desperation, proving once and for all that art can save the world.
Cast members include students and most actors play multiple parts.
Andrea Burden: senior nutrition and dietetics major, Quincy, Ohio
Logan Daugherty: sophomore biology and chemistry double major, Bradford, Ohio
Adara Fuerst: junior art and writing major, Delphos, Ohio
Jordyn Garmatter: junior English major, Bluffton, Ohio
Jenna Loescher: sophomore social work major, Cridersville, Ohio
Coen North: junior communication and media major, Denver, Colo.
Shaina Phillips: junior studio art major, Ada, Ohio
Carter Ritchey: senior communication and media major, Delphos, Ohio
The production is directed by Dr. Melissa Friesen, professor of theatre and communication. Merv Schrock is the technical director and Brit Mustard is the costume designer. Isabel Miller is stage manager. Student theatre assistants Zael Coblentz, Chloe Haberman and Aubrie Sell lead the production team.
