Musselman Library showcasing 1930s magazines
JUNE 6 MEDIA RELEASE__Many know about Bluffton University Musselman Library's extensive Mennonite archival collection, but many do not know we also have a collection of popular magazines dating back to the early 20th century.
During the summer, the library is dusting off a few titles and inviting the campus and Bluffton community to dive back into history and peruse some popular titles such as “Fortune,” “Better Homes and Garden,” “Life and Good Housekeeping” from the 1930s.
Come down and read firsthand stories about the Great Depression, gardening tips and recipes from times past or so many other great articles. The library will be setting out select titles in the Reading Room at Musselman and welcome anyone interested in a bit of history to stop by and dive in during our open hours.
The magazines will be displayed through the end of July. Library summer hours are 9 a.m.–Noon, Monday–Friday.
