Pirate volleyball swept by Shawnee
Home opener is August 20 vs. Pandora-Gilboa

SHAWNEE__The visiting Bluffton High School volleyball team fell in straight sets to non-league foe Shawnee on Monday, August 18.
The Indians beat the Pirate girls 25-20, 25-20, 25-23.
Bluffton fell to 0-2 with the defeat. Shawnee improved to 1-0 after the win.
Kendall Stackhouse led the Pirate girls by hammering eight kills, and Lainey Grandey drilled six kills.
Adelyn Althaus doled out 13 assists, while Camryn Fruchey passed out a dozen assists. Karlie Lora and Gracie Warren each dealt a pair of aces.
Lora and Libby Hocanson each came up with one block.
Vanessa Cross mustered 13 digs, while Fruchey added seven digs.
The Pirate junior varsity lost 2-0, while the Bluffton freshman won 2-1.
Bluffton plays its home opener on Wednesday, Aug. 20 vs. Pandora-Gilboa (1-0).
