Maurice "Doc" Criblez 1915-2011
Maurice "Doc" Grant Criblez, 96 of Bluffton died at 11:07 Feb. 25, 2011, at Lima Memorial Health System Emergency Center.
He was born Feb. 25, 1915, in Bluffton to Alfred and Adel (Grant) Criblez. On Feb. 15, 1942 he married Mildred Parker Criblez and she survives.
He was a dairy farmer. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Bluffton, and was a charter member of the Ohio Brown Swiss Dairy Association. He was the 2008 Outstanding Allen County Fair Supporter. He was a regular for coffee at Ingalls Restaurant, Smith's Restaurant and McDonald's. He was a Bluffton High School graduate.
Survivors also include a son Ted (Renee) Criblez of Bluffton; a daughter Ruth (Randall) Wilhelm of Ft. Jennings; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three sisters Freda Neiswander of Brooklyn, Mich., Rachel Crow of Findlay and Frances Scoles of Bluffton; and a daughter in law Mary Criblez of Rockville, Md. He was preceded in death by a son Thomas Criblez; five brothers and seven sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday March 1, 2011 at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton. Chaplain William Herr officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
