Pirate volleyball swept by Patrick Henry

League finale is October 2 at Spencerville

HAMLER__The visiting Bluffton High School volleyball team lost in three sets to Patrick Henry in a match pitting non-conference powers on Monday, September 29.

The Pirate girls fell to 12-7 overall with the 25-16, 25-14, 25-22 defeat.

Patrick Henry improved to 14-2 after the win.

Kendall Stackhouse topped the Pirates with seven kills. Lainey Grandey and Libby Hocanson knocked down five kills apiece.

Adelyn Althaus dished out 11 assists. Camryn Fruchey passed out nine helpers and served three aces.

Vanessa Cross mustered up 21 digs. Gracie Warren hustled her way to 10 digs.

Taylin Goldman dealt three aces and came up with three blocks.

The Bluffton JV lost to PH, 2-0. But the Bluffton freshmen won, 2-1.

The Pirates (4-1 NWC) host league foe Lincolnview (11-5, 3-1 NWC) on Tuesday, Sept. 30. The Lancers are in a tie for third in the league with LCC, behind only Crestview (5-0 NWC) and the Pirates.

The Pirates then play at last-place Spencerville (6-11, 0-3 NWC) on Thursday, October 2 in the league finale.
