Pirate volleyball eliminated by Ottawa-Glandor in semifinals

KALIDA__The Bluffton High School volleyball team lost in straight sets to WBL power Ottawa-Glandorf in Div. V Northwest District 2 semifinal action on Tuesday, October 21 at Kalida to end their season.
With the 25-22, 25-13, 27-25 loss, the Pirate spikers finished another solid campaign with a 16-8 record.
O-G improved to 19-5 after the sweep victory, although the first and third sets were quite close.
Senior standout Kendall Stackhouse led the Pirates with 10 kills in her final Bluffton match.
Camryn Fruchey knocked down six kills and dished out 13 assists. Adelyn Althaus also doled out 13 helpers.
Senior Vanessa Cross mustered up 13 digs. Gracie Warren hustled up 10 digs and served two aces.
Taylin Goldman dealt a pair of aces. Karlie Lora and Stackhouse each came up with one block.
Number one seed O-G advanced to the district final against Northwest 1 survivor and second seed Pemberville Eastwood on Thursday, Oct. 23.
Eastwood (17-7) made it to the final with a 15-13 win in the fifth set over third-seeded Swanton Tuesday night.
