Orange Township voters approve levy renewal

The Hancock County Board of Elections has released unofficial results for Orange Township elections. Voters approved a tax levy renewal and elected Thomas D. Wagner and Jeff Scoles as trustees.

For The Tax Levy 131 67.88%
Against The Tax Levy 62 32.12%

Voters approved "A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Orange Township, Hancock County, Ohio, for the purpose of current expenses, that the county auditor estimates will collect $59,035 annually, at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each $1 of taxable value, which amounts to $30 for each $100,000 of the county auditor’s appraised value, for five years, commencing in 2026, first due in calendar year 2027."
Three candidates vied for two trustee positions. Thomas D. Wagner was reelected. Candidate Jeff Scoles unseated incumbent David Warren.

Jeff Scoles 113 34.04%
