Judy Greavu, a lifelong sculptor and educator, began her career after earning a B.S. in Art Education from Ball State Teachers' College and later completing an MFA at Bowling Green State University in 1967. Following teaching positions at several Ohio colleges, she spent 20 years as a full-time professor at Ohio Northern University, where she also established a sculpture casting program. Her passion for sculpture was sparked during her undergraduate years with her first bronze casting experience, leading to decades of work in metal and glass. Deeply inspired by natural forms, textures, and movement, Greavu's sculptures often explore the interplay of light and water. Her works have been exhibited widely in juried and invitational shows, as well as featured in major public commissions across the U.S., including installations at the University of Toledo, Daytona Beach International Airport, and Inniswood Metro Gardens. In this exhibition, Greavu's pieces reflect her enduring fascination with the tactile qualities of nature and the problem-solving joy inherent in the creative process.
