Elaine K. Marquart worked at Bluffton Community Preschool
Elaine K. Marquart, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on November 18, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. Elaine was born February 2, 1942 in Benton Ridge to the late Kurt and Ruth (Oman) Radabaugh. On June 16, 1990 she married Jay Marquart.
Elaine was a 1960 graduate of Liberty-Benton High School and worked as a computer programmer, a preschool teacher at Bluffton Community Preschool and as a medical records clerk at Dr. Hotmire's office in Bluffton.
Elaine attended the Pandora Missionary Church. She traveled with her husband three times to Russia and Ukraine to adopt three of their girls and also adopted two of their other children from the United States. Elaine always had such a deep love for all children. If anyone was born with a Mother's heart, it was Elaine. She loved spending time with their family in Georgia and Florida, watching their grandkids and spending time together. Elaine loved taking little day trips with her husband and just treasuring the time spent with each other. She also enjoyed gardening and antiques.
She will be cherished by her husband, Jay B. Marquart of Pandora; five children, Greg Palmer of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, Lisa (Sam) Lombardo of Olmsted Falls, Ohio, Abby Marquart of Luckey, Ohio, Ally (Mitchell) Siegel of Versailles, Ohio, Amy Marquart of Cridersville, Ohio; seven grandchildren; a brother, Howard Radabaugh of Keystone Heights, Florida; two nieces, Sheila (Roy) Gentry of Perry, Georgia, Dana Bittner of Perry, Georgia and other beloved close family and friends.
Elaine was preceded in death by her sister, Helen Harrold.
Elaine's service will begin at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at Pandora Missionary Church with pastors Sammy Lombardo and Dan Young officiating. Private burial will take place in Thompson Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, November 21, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Bluffton.
Memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan's Purse, P.O. Box 3000, Boone, North Carolina, 28607.
