FROM FACEBOOK__Bluffton's Shannon Theatre, 119 S. Main St., is hosting two free shows of It's A Wonderful Life on Friday, November 28.

Show times are 1:30 and 4:00 p.m. No tickets are needed thanks to Shirley's Gourmet Popcorn Company, the sponsor for this show.

The 1946 film was produced and directed by Frank Capra. It stars James Stewart and Donna Reed. It was not a critical success at the time of its release, but has become a Christmas classic since its copyright expired in 1974. 

The screenplay is based on the short story "The Greatest Gift" by Philip Van Doren Stern, which in turn is loosely based on the novella A Christmas Carol (1843) by Charles Dickens.
