Bluffton and Allen County receive funding support for law enforcement body-worn cameras
The Ohio Department of Public Safety's Office of Criminal Justice Services (OCJS) will award $4.4 million in funding to help local law enforcement agencies pay for body-worn camera equipment and associated costs. Beginning on February 3, Allen County Sheriff’s Office deputies wil be equipped with body-worn cameras. The Bluffton Police Department will have body camera systems delivered in March. The body cameras won’t go into service until a Village policy has been established.
