Pro and home bakers invited to compete in Thirteen Colonies edible art competition
March 16-17 at Bluffton Public Library, 145 S. Main St.
MEDIA RELEASE__Calling all cake decorators! Come showcase your sugar-crafting talents in the America 250 in Bluffton, Ohio Cake Decorating Exposition.
The theme is “The Thirteen Colonies,” and this edible-art event is a chance for old and young, professional and home bakers alike to let their creativity go wild! The exposition and auction will be hosted at the Bluffton Public Library on March 16 and 17.
Bluffton businesses are encouraged to secure a baker and sponsor an entry. Home bakers, grab your piping bags and regale the town with your best royal icing ornamentation. Your cakes will be displayed in the Library during a 24-hour silent auction period.
Who’s cake can command an impressive price? Yours? Each cake will be displayed with the name of the cake, name of the baker/decorator, and sponsoring business/family. Cakes can indicate one single original colony or represent the thirteen colonies as a whole.
All rules and regulations concerning size, construction, and display are available with FREE registration by March 2 at the Bluffton Public Library.
All proceeds from the auction go towards funding the anticipated June drone light show.
So, Bluffton, let’s keep our celebration of 250 years of independence going by designing your creation, donning your favorite apron, grabbing a whisk, and baking the world a better place!
