Bluffton Lions honor Jerry and Lori Lewis as citizens of the year at March 29 banquet
Jerry and Lori Lewis join a long list of Bluffton residents recognized over the years by the Bluffton Lions Club. This week the couple received the title of Citizens of the Year by the Lions Club. The annual award dates back to the early 1980s.
A banquet honoring the couple is planned for 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, in the Patio Room of Maple Crest. The event is open to the public. Persons interested in attending need to make reservations by Friday, March 18, to either Vanessa Greer, Lions president (419-369-4721) or Daryl Shields, Lions program chair (419-358-0810).
Jerry and Lori Lewis have a long history of assisting countless programs in the Bluffton community. These include athletics, the arts, churches, education and individual families, according to the announcement made by the Lions Club. The announcement continued: They have contributed to these by giving of their time, talents, support, food and financial aid.
The couple owns 15 McDonald's restaurants in a five-county area.
