Coach and bus trips announced by Bluffton Senior Center
The following Bluffton Senior Center travel opportunities were announced in the March 2026 Happenings newsletter.
COACH TRIPS WITH TONYA
Scavenger Hunt Trip | June 3, 2026
Come visit the American Sign Museum and Jungle Jim's International Market. There will be a guided tour of both and have a scavenger hunt. In between a lunch at Tickle Pickle. Cost is $125 due at sign up. Departs 6:45 a.m. Level 3 lots of walking. First day to sign up March 20, last day May 1.
Wonders of Iceland | July 9-18, 2026
There is still time to join the trip around Iceland, Land of Fire and Ice. Participants will travel the whole island nation and see icebergs, hot springs and waterfalls. Airfare is included. Price starts at $6,099.00. $250.00 deposit due at sign up. Brochures available at the Senior Center.
Route 66 Centennial | September 2-13, 2026
Honoring 100 years of America's Most Iconic Highway! The legendary "Mother Road" that embodies discovery and the spirit of the open road. Journey from the Pacific Coast to Chicago, tracing the historic path that shaped a generation. Along the way, enjoy nostalgic diners, quirky road side attractions and classic mom-and-pop stops that capture the golden age of travel. Price starts at $3999 per double occupancy. Brochures available at the Senior Center. Trip is a level 3 because of long days. Must have a Real ID to fly.
BUS TRIPS WITH DEBBIE
Joshua at Sight & Sound Theater | March 17-19, 2026
Brochures are now in the Senior Center. Departing at 7 a.m. Level 3 This trip is full. The Senior Center is taking standby.
Riverdance 30th Anniversary, at the Schuster Center | Tuesday, April 7, 2026
The much-loved original show has new innovative choreography and costumes, state-of-the-art lighting, projection and motion graphics. The Schuster Center is in downtown Dayton. Participants will have supper at the China Buffet before the show. Level 2. Trip departs at 4:30 p.m. Cost is $155.00. The trip is full. The Senior Center is taking standby.
Maria Stein and Bicycle Museum of America | Tuesday, April 28
Maria Stein of the Holy relics is home to one of the largest, documented Holy Relic collections in the United States. Participants will stop at the Bicycle Museum of America first for a guided tour. Enjoy a delicious lunch at Do Good Restaurant in Osgood, Ohio, known as a mission to spread God's Word through service and food, and feed people's bodies, minds and souls. Then a guided tour of Maria Stein and a stop at Winans Coffee and Chocolates (on your own). Cost is $103 at the time of sign up. Level 3 for walking and stairs. First day to sign up is March 12 and last day is April 10.
Mystery Theater | Friday, May 8
Join for another exciting Mystery Trip! This one includes a murder mystery. Trip departs at 3:30 p.m. and includes a scrumptious supper. Cost is $102.00 due at sign up. Level 2 possible steps.
Historic Marietta and Blennerhassett Island | May 20 – 21, 2026
Join us for an overnight getaway to charming Marietta, Ohio, nestled along the scenic Ohio River. Take a ride on a sternwheeler, visit Campus Martius Museum and Castle Historic House. Dine at the Historic Lafayette Hotel and visit Blennerhassett Island. Package includes one night hotel stay, three meals, including a hot breakfast buffet. All attractions, taxes and gratuities included. Trip departs at 9 a.m. $429 per double occupancy. Level 3 because of possible stairs.
Washington D.C. - Monuments, Memorials and More | June 16-19
This trip includes three nights of hotel accommodations in the Washington D.C. area with breakfast each morning and three additional meals, including a waterfront dinner at Washington Harbor. Two days with guides to tour the monuments and memorials. A guided visit to Arlington National Cemetery with tram transportation includes JFK's gravesite and eternal flame and the Changing of the Guard. Also, admission to the Museum of the Bible and free time on the National Mall for exploring the Smithsonian Museums and a guided tour of the U.S. Capitol (subject to availability). Cost is $932 per double occupancy, due at sign up. Level 3 for lots of walking.

To get a copy of the Trip Policy, stop by the office and pick one up. The Bluffton Senior Citizens Center will no longer be able to take credit cards for any trip because of the rising credit card fees. This means that they will no longer be able to take reservations over the phone. All trips must be signed up in person or a check may be sent in the mail.
TRIP ACTIVITY LEVELS
The following is an explanation of the levels assigned to the trips.
LEVEL 1 Minimal walking through parking lots and drop off locations. Standing while waiting in line and for entrance to tours. Will include steps and uneven surfaces throughout the day and steps in and out of motor coach.
LEVEL 2 Moderate walking/standing, up to half a mile, may include stairs and /or uneven terrain. Plus, on and off motor coach more than once.
LEVEL 3 Lots of walking/standing for multiple hours. May include flights of stairs and/or uneven terrain. Could include long days.
LEVEL 4 Extensive walking/standing, climbing stairs or hilly walkways and /or extended weather exposure.
