ABOUT THE PARTNERSHIP
The Blanchard River Watershed Partnership was formed to address concerns affecting the health of the Blanchard River watershed and to promote greater understanding of how land use, water quality and community actions are connected. The watershed covers a large portion of northwest Ohio, and the river and its tributaries play an important role in agriculture, recreation, wildlife habitat, and community life.
The Partnership brings together citizens, local governments, conservation groups, farmers, educators, and state and federal agencies to work toward common goals. By encouraging cooperation and education rather than regulation, the organization helps develop practical solutions that improve water quality while supporting the needs of the community.
