MEDIA RELEASE__Bluffton University will examine the challenges and opportunities surrounding artificial intelligence during its Civic Engagement Theme Panel, “Truth and Integrity in an Age of AI,” at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, in Yoder Recital Hall. 

The panel will feature Dr. Darryl Nester, professor of mathematics; Carrie Phillips, library director; Marathana Prothro, associate professor of communication and director of general education; Chad Shutler, assistant professor of health, fitness and sport science and women's basketball coach; and Mya Vernon, a junior graphic design major. 

The panel of Bluffton faculty, staff and students will discuss how they use AI platforms discerningly and consider the role of truth, integrity and critical thinking when engaging with emerging technologies. 

The event is free and open to the public. Forum at Bluffton University provides a public space for interdisciplinary discovery about the personal, local, and global challenges faced by students, faculty, staff and the Bluffton community.
