Pirate boys soccer beats powerhouse Trojans

BLUFFTON__The Bluffton boys soccer team defeated visiting Botkins 3-1 in a non-league match on Tuesday, August 18 at Steinmetz Field. The team is coached by Dan Lee.
The Pirates improved to 1-1 with the win, while the Trojans dropped o 0-1 with the defeat.
Botkins has made it to the regional semifinals in each of the last two seasons, and has compiled a 33-5-4 over the last two years.
The Bluffton goals were scored by Gavin Amstutz, Emekka Bo Smith and Chase Kelly.
Bluffton plays at Archbold (0-1) on Thursday, Aug. 20 at 5 p.m. They lost their opener to Kalida Tuesday, 2-1.
