Robert "Bob" C. Amstutz served in the U.S. Air Force
Robert "Bob" C. Amstutz, 84, passed away August 21, 2026, at Blanchard Valley Hospital.
Bob was born December 25, 1941, in Beaverdam, to Kent and Wava (Yant) Amstutz, who preceded him in death. On September 2, 1962, he married Beverly (Benroth) Amstutz, who survives.
He was a 1959 graduate of Beaverdam High School and attended Bluffton College. He dedicated many years to working as an aircraft mechanic for Trans World Airlines and was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of the American Legion, the Lions Club, and the Beaverdam Church of Christ. He enjoyed working on cars and volunteering.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Amstutz of Bluffton; two children, Heather (Neil) Amstutz Ferrao of Nairobi, Kenya and Robert (Amy) Amstutz of Newnan, Georgia; a son-in-law, Brian Dickey of Austin, TX; five grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, Ashley, Ava and Ilse; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marilu (Peter) Diller of Gilboa and Janet Amstutz Allen of Naples, Florida.
In addition to his parents, Bob is preceded in death by his daughter, Heidi Amstutz Graham.
Services will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Bluffton. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 2, 2026, 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Beaverdam Church of Christ.
