Pirate volleyball loses to Shawnee

BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School volleyball team lost a tough three-setter to visiting Shawnee in a non-league match on Monday, August 24.
The Pirate girls fell to 1-2 after the defeat. Shawnee improved to 1-1 with the 25-21, 25-17, 25-22 win.
Camryn Fruchey led Bluffton with eight kills. Karlie Lora knocked down seven kills. Lora also served up two aces and came up with three blocks.
Gracie Warren smacked five kills and mustered up 14 digs. Taylin Goldman contributed five kills.
Adrian Birnesser led the Pirates with 16 assists.
The Bluffton junior varsity won, 2-1.
Bluffton plays at Pandora-Gilboa (1-0) on Wednesday, Aug. 26, and then visits Miller City (1-0) Saturday morning for a tough tri-match with Defiance Tinora (2-0).
