Jerry L. Blosser, 69, of Continental, died at 8:40 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2026, at The Meadows of Kalida.  He was born October 5, 1956, in Bluffton to the late Marlin and Mary Lou (Marquart) Blosser.  On July 25, 1992, he married Elaine Keck and she survives in Continental.

Other survivors include two daughters: Valerie (Rex) Hazelton of Continental and Kristen (Jason) McCartney of California; six grandchildren: Jasmin (Dylan) Dunakin, Trevor (Deborah) Moats, Gavin Paniagua, Jayden McCartney, Kyla McCartney and Jaxson McCartney; and siblings: Gregg Blosser and Lanny Blosser both of Jenera, Jodi Pannell of New Fairfield, CT and Lori Blosser of Lima.

He was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law, James Pannell.

Jerry retired from DTR Industries. He attended Christ United Methodist Church, Continental.  Jerry enjoyed sports, especially The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Guardians and NASCAR as well as bowling and woodworking.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at Heitmeyer Funeral Home,  Continental, with Pastor Monica Kleman and Pastor Chuck Schmunk officiating.  

Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Continental. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6 -8:00 p.m., Tuesday and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to Putnam County Hospice.
