Pirate boys golf sweeps tri match

BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School boys golf team won a three-team Northwest Conference makeup match on a warm Tuesday, Sept. 15 at the Bluffton Golf Club.
The Pirates won with 167 strokes, 17 shots ahead of LCC (184). Spencerville ended up third at 207.
Bluffton improved to 12-8 overall and 8-6 in NWC dual match play with the wins. LCC is 5-7 overall and 5-5 in the NWC. Spencerville dropped to 0-8 and 0-8 with the losses.
Bluffton senior Coby Dailey earned match medalist status after firing a nine-hole round of 39. It was the first time he has shot under 40, and he achieved the feat in his last dual home match.
The eight-team Northwest Conference boys golf tournament is scheduled for Thursday at the Bluffton Golf Club course.
Columbus Grove is 8-0 in league play, while Lincolnview is 7-1 in the NWC. Allen East is 9-4 in NWC dual action.
