Streaking Pirate volleyball sweeps Allen East

The Bluffton High School volleyball team rolled over local rival Allen East in three sets to capture the Northwest Conference opener on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
The Pirates won their fifth straight match 25-12, 25-13, 25-11 to improve to 8-4 overall and 1-0 in the NWC.
AE dropped to 4-4 overall and 0-1 in the NWC after the loss.
Camryn Fruchey knocked down nine kills, served up eight aces and passed out 10 assists to pace the victors.
Karlie Lora slammed seven kills, dealt four aces, had one block and made five digs.
Taylin Goldman also hammered seven kills.
Adelyn Althaus dished out eight assists. Gracie Warren hustled up 11 digs.
Lainey Grandey came up with one block.
The Bluffton junior varsity also swept AE, 2-0.
The Pirates host LCC (4-5) in another NWC match Thursday. They then entertain tough Tinora (7-2) and Ottawa Hills in a tri-match Saturday.
