Travis Michael Swank, 40, passed away on September 27, 2026, at the Ohio State University-Wexner Medical Center in Columbus. Travis was born November 24, 1985, in Bluffton to Jeff and Kim (Funk) Swank. On February 10, 2012, he married Kayla (Hughes) Swank.

Travis graduated from Bluffton High School and received his associate’s degree in business from Rhodes State College. He worked as an outside salesman for Stoops Freightliner in Lima. Travis was a member of Southside Christian Church in Lima and attended St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bluffton. He loved golfing, hunting and boating, especially at his happy place, Norris Lake. Travis was also involved with coaching his girls in softball, was known as a "Grillmaster," and was the best "Girl Dad" he could be. He was a varsity assistant softball coach, was active with Bluffton Diamond Sports and loved watching any sports, especially football. He was a former member of the Bluffton Fire Department, truly loved his entire family and would do anything for them. 

Survivors include his wife, Kayla Swank of Bluffton; three daughters, Jessa, Kenna and Mara Swank, all of Bluffton; his parents, Jeff and Kim Swank of Bluffton; a sister, Ashley (Dan) Stratton and a brother, Kyle (Lauren) Swank, both of Bluffton; nieces and nephews, Charlie Stratton, Shey and Cooper Swank; his in-laws, Charles "Bub" and Jana Hughes of Bluffton; his two dogs, Hank and Mia; and several special aunts, uncles and cousins.

Travis' service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral & Cremation Services - Bluffton with Pastor Todd Cosart officiating. 

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 30, 2026, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
