LIMA – The visiting Bluffton High School girls soccer team defeated Northwest Conference rival Lima Central Catholic 3-0 on Monday, Sept. 28.

The Pirate girls improved to 6-6 overall and 5-0 in the NWC with the clean-sheet win.

The Thunderbirds fell to 3-6-2 and 0-2-2 in NWC action after the defeat.

SCORING
Bluffton’s Carli Wise scored first in the 8th minute off an assist by Nora Matthews. 

Addilyn Shoemaker increased the lead to 2-0 by scoring in the 25th minute via an assist by Kinzi Koogler. 

In the second half, Phoebe Edwards-Leeper tallied in the 68th minute from a Shoemaker pass to put the game out of reach.

Bluffton peppered the Thunderbird goal, firing 27 shots.

IN GOAL
Bluffton keeper Maelee Miller did not have to make a save behind the stingy Pirate defense.

Busy LCC keeper Corie Schnieders came up with 14 saves in goal.
