BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School boys golf team finished a solid fourth at the eight-team Northwest Conference tournament at the Bluffton Golf Club on Monday, September 28.

The twice-delayed annual tournament was originally postponed from Thursday, Sept. 17 due to hard rain and very wet course conditions. It was again postponed on Sept. 22 because of soggy grounds.

Pirate Gibson Meyer came in second individually at the NWC meet with a strong 18-hole round of 77. Dalton Hyman of Grove edged him out for tournament medalist honors by one stroke, firing a 76.

Bluffton’s Caleb Fifer tied for 10th place by shooting an 85.

Lincolnview won its second consecutive NWC title by a single stroke over Columbus Grove, 324-325. Allen East came in third at 336 shots, two ahead of Bluffton (338).

LCC finished fifth at 369, followed by Crestview (394), Delphos Jefferson (406) and Spencerville (437).
