Pirate volleyball falls to powerhouse Patriots

BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School volleyball team lost to visiting unbeaten Patrick Henry in a non-league match at home on Monday, Oct. 5.

The Pirate girls fell to 12-7 overall with the 25-17, 25-22, 25-21 home loss.

PH improved to 18-0 with the three-set road win.

Taylin Goldman knocked down 12 kills to pace the Pirate hitters. She also came up with eight digs. 

Karlie Lora drilled 11 kills and made two blocks.

Adrian Birnesser and Adelyn Althaus each doled out 18 assists.

Gracie Warren mustered 14 digs, while Althaus added three digs.

Althaus fired three aces, and Camryn Fruchey served one ace.

Lainey Grandey made a pair of blocks.

The Bluffton JV also lost to PH, 2-1.

The Pirates (4-2 NWC) play at league foe Delphos Jefferson (10-9, 2-4 NWC) on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
