Pirate volleyball beats Delphos Jefferson in four

DELPHOS__The visiting Bluffton High School girls volleyball team lost the first set, but rallied to beat Delphos Jefferson in a four-game Northwest Conference match on Tuesday, Oct. 6.
The Pirate girls improved to 13-7 overall and 5-2 in the NWC with the 22-25, 25-12, 25-19, 25-23 road victory.
DJ fell to 10-10 overall and 2-5 in NWC play after the home defeat.
Gracie Warren led Bluffton with a season-high 15 kills.
Taylin Goldman smacked 12 and hustled up a team-high 14 digs. Karlie Lora hit 10 kills and came up with two blocks.
Adelyn Althaus passed out 19 assists. Adrian Birnesser doled out 16 helpers.
Ari Goings mustered 10 digs, while Kari Diller came up with nine digs.
Camryn Fruchey served up three aces.
Peyton Worcester added two blocks.
The Bluffton junior varsity also won, 2-0.
Bluffton visits non-league foe Carey on Thursday, Oct. 8.
