Barefoot nature walks at the Nature Preserve
MEDIA RELEASE__It's that time of year when we have cooler temps and the ground is still warm enough for Barefoot Walks. Let's enjoy the outdoors and connect with nature by taking off our shoes!
Join Daisy Sutkay as she leads a barefoot nature walk in the Bluffton University Nature Preserve. Feel the ground as you walk to better connect with the natural world. All are welcome. Meet at the parking lot by the Moyer Nature Center. Tea and cookies will be provided after the walk.
Three walks are scheduled:
Wed, Oct 14 at 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Wed, Oct 21 at 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Wed, Oct 28 at 6:00-7:00 p.m.
ABOUT WALKING BAREFOOT
Walking barefoot requires a different level of awareness. There are stones, roots, pokey things, rough things and walnuts/acorns on the ground. We'll experience a slower pace as we bring our awareness to the path and where we are placing our feet so as to have a positive experience walking barefoot.
