Prairie seeding activity at Bluffton University, October 24
MEDIA RELEASE__A mowed turfgrass lawn is being converted into a native prairie on the floodplain of the Little Riley Creek. Help throw down handfuls of seed to plant the prairie as a community, then watch it grow over the coming years.
From 10 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, Oct. 24, join Dr. Jacob Buchanan, assistant professor of environmental science, M'della Moon Endowed Chair in Botany and Environmental Science at Bluffton University, and the Blanchard River Watershed Partnership to learn about the campus prairie project.
All are welcome. Meet at the parking lot by Sommer Center on the Bluffton University campus.
