Letter: Julie Rayis from Columbus
Bluffton Icon:
What a pleasure to see your site! Reading about the Blaze made me sorry to have missed it and pledge to put it on the calendar for next year!
Our Oscar Velasquez print of the Blaze hangs proudly in our home at Christmas as we tell visitors all about it! It's one of our happiest Bluffton memories since moving to Columbus 8 years ago.
Thanks for the many Bluffton clippings among our archives. They are getting new press as we prepare scrapbooks for graduations.
Sadly, we found this site while searching for an obituary on Gloria Geisheimer. Two of our children took piano lessons from her and we feel blessed to have known her.
Our son, Christopher Rayis began studying with Gloria at 5 years old. She then found him a teacher in Columbus and he is now in college in Nashville TN, majoring in piano.
We are so thankful for her gift of encouragement. I hope you will do a story on her and all of the lives she touched.
Thank you for the great community in which our children were grounded!
Julie Rayis
