Bluffton art faculty member to lead colloquium
Darryl Moody, assistant professor of art at Bluffton University, will reflect this Friday, April 1, on his photographic work that resulted from a Bluffton University Research Center grant last summer.
Set for 4 p.m. in Centennial Hall's Stutzman Lecture Hall, his colloquium presentation, "Large Format Fine Art Printing: Approach, Process and Proof," will follow the stages of capturing, developing, editing, printing and presenting unique photographic works in an enlarged view. The event is free and open to the public.
With the assistance of his grant, Moody, a graphic designer and digital photographer, had the opportunity to work with John Paul Capanigro, one of the world's preeminent fine art printers, at his Cushing, Maine, workshop.
The research and creative work that has arisen from the grant has been the foundation for prints exhibited at Bluffton's recent art faculty show, "At Work," as well as regionally and nationally in New York City.
