Did you notice the choir of morning life,
echoing Creator's primal decree?

Did you see the wisps of morning mist,
pink and mauve and lavendery?

Did you hear the chorus of winged friends,
cardinal, wren and chickadee?

Did you breathe the fragrant, divine ruach,
dawn's fresh activity.

Did you feel the haggard skin of maple,
pine, oak or hickory?

Did you savor daily bread upon your tongue,
crisp, and whole and buttery?
