Edith Lehman 1925-2011
Edith J. Lehman, 85, of Bluffton died 2:14 a.m. April 7, 2011, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. She was born Nov. 27, 1925, in Normal, Ill., to Earl and Florence Guth Stuckey. On Sept. 29, 1945, she married Earl W. Lehman and he survives.
Mrs. Lehman was a piano teacher and accompanist. She was also a partner in Reistman's Clothing Store, Bluffton. She was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Bluffton and the Telesis Club.
She was a graduate of Morton, (Ill.) High School and attended Bluffton College.
Survivors also include two sons, Gene (Lynda) Lehman of Orville, James Lehman of Bluffton, two daughters, Judith (Dallas Moore) Lehman of Ann Arbor, Mich., Kerrie (Tom) Sprunger of Montpelier, eight grandchildren, Luke, Joshua, Whitney, Morgan, Lara, Katie, Taylor and Josiah, five great grandchildren, Brendan, Leah, Maggie, Colin and Parker, two brothers, Paul (Beth) Stuckey of Deer Creek, Ill., Keith (Norma) Stuckey of Morton, Ill., and two sisters Ann (Tom) Stacy of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Sandy (Roger) Risser of Danvers, Ill.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday at First Mennonite Church, Bluffton. Rev. Steven J. Yoder will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. Sunday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to First Mennonite Church or the Earl Lehman Family Memorial Scholarship at Bluffton University.
