Lillian Weyer 1930-2011
Lillian Mae Weyer, 80 died at 11:45 a.m., April 17, 2011 at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay. She was born Nov. 26, 1930, in Lima to Karl and Magdalean (Kayser) Zimmerman. On June 22, 1950, she married Jack Weyer and he survives.
She retired from Bluffton Schools as a librarian and treasurer after 21 years. She also worked at the Peerless Ohio Glove Factory, Triplett Corporation, both of Bluffton, Montgomery Ward of Lima and was a devoted babysitter.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton, and taught religious education for over 30 years. She was a 1949 graduate of St. John's High School, Lima.
Survivors also include a daughter Karen (Mark) Falk of Bluffton; a son Steve (Panda) Weyer of Bluffton; two grandchildren Joshua and Brianna Falk; a brother Clifford (Amy) Zimmerman of Lima; a sister Betty Shimp of Lima and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son Thomas Weyer; three brothers Donald, Karl, and Irwin Zimmerman and a sister Mary Johns.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton, where a rosary service will take place at 8 p.m.
