Beaverdam, Bluffton, Cairo, Lafayette fire and EMS called to Richland Manor
Shortly before 10 p.m. on Thursday evening Bluffton fire and EMS were called to Richland Manor nursing home of Swaney Road.
When the Icon arrived on the scene Beaverdam-Richland fire and EMS, Bluffton, Lafayette-Jackson and Cairo departments were already at the Manor. Beaverdam-Richland was in charge of the situation and the other departments were called in for assistance.
Allen County Sheriff officers were also on the scene. No fire was observed by the Icon, however, at least one door on the south side of the building was open and a large fan was in the doorway.
It was not clear what caused the alarm and the situation is still under investigation.
