Official opening ceremonies Saturday morning in front of the town hall
Although the party is already underway, the official opening of Bluffton's sesquicentennial is Saturday morning, June 25. Ceremonies are planned in front of the town hall starting at 10:45 a.m. and continuing until mid-afternoon.
Main Street will be blocked off during this event. The programs are open to the public. Chairs will be provided, but residents are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs to enjoy the day if they wish.
The following events will take place in front of the town hall:
10:45 a.m. - Opening ceremony with several community speakers
12:30 p.m. Merchant band performing
1:15 p.m. Harmonic duo performing
1:45 p.m. Cloggers performing
2:30 p.m. "The Ballad of John Dillinger"
Other Saturday events include:
10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Garden show, Middle School
3:30-5:30 Fire Department open house
All day - Triplett Photo Display at Sauder Visual Arts Center, Spring Street
Sauder Visual Arts Center
Boy Scout Indian Village at the Buckeye
Lake Senior Citizens bake sale
7 p.m. - Centennial ball at The Centre. Tickets are $10 each and are available at the door.
