Jack Weyer 1931-2011
Jack L. Weyer, 80, of Bluffton died at 7:41 a.m., Sunday, June 26, at Bluffton Hospital. He was born April 14, 1931 in Vaughnsville, Ohio to Lewis and Bessie (Briggs) Weyer. On June 22, 1950 he married Lillian Zimmerman and she died April 17, 2011.
He had worked at Ex-Cello which later became Pure Pak where he retired. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton. He was a member of the American Legion Post 382, Bluffton, VFW Post, Ada and Loyal Order of Moose, Findlay.
He was a 1950 graduate from Bluffton High School. He was an Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict.
Survivors include a daughter Karen (Mark) Falk of Bluffton; a son Steve (Panda) Weyer of Bluffton; two grandchildren Joshua and Brianna Falk; a brother Robert (Kate) Weyer of Bluffton and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Kohli.A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Bluffton. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Bluffton where military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 382.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 PM at Chiles-Laman Funeral Home, Bluffton.
