A memorial service for Lynn E. Carmack, 77, of Perry Twp., Massillon, who died on May 7, 2011, will be held Saturday, July 23, at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Bluffton. A Masonic memorial service to which the public is invited will be held in the church that same morning at 10:15 a.m.

Mr. Carmack was born Dec.19, 1933, in Findlay to the late George and Edna (Messer) Carmack and was raised in Bluffton.

Following his studies at Ohio Northern University, he served in the Army. While in the service, he formed a quartet and entertained at numerous military bases.

For many years he was employed at Triplett Corp. and then moved to the Massillon area. He was a salesman for S & B Fasteners and then started his own company, Always Best Fasteners in Massillon. He was a long time member of STAFDA.

Mr. Carmack retired in 2009. He was also active in his church choir and participated in several musical and theater groups. He was a member of the consolidated Bluffton Lodge #432 -Mt. Cory #418, F. & A. M.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Carol Carmack; children, Anthony (Vicki) Carmack, Larry (Sherri) Carmack, Lisa (Mike) Benroth, Tamara (Jim) Williams, Cynthia (Tony) Jamison, Bill (Kerstin) Hiser, Garry (Julie) Hiser, and Angelique Hiser; 21 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren; sister, Carol Luke and brother-in-law Garry (Connie) Vance.

Memorials can be sent in Mr. Carmack's name to First United Methodist Church (Bluffton) or the Alzheimer's Association.
